The Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco®
The Foundation was born in the aftermath of the fall of the Berlin Wall with the desire to bring young people from Eastern European countries – Eurasia together, no longer through the force of coercive policy, but through an involvement based on cultural reasons, inviting them to Florence and join international working groups. With this activity, which has now been extended to 83 countries on 5 continents, the Foundation has created the Life Beyond Tourism orientation to offer a virtual platform for knowledge among different cultures based on fundamental elements such as: Travel, Youth, Interculturalism, Cultural Heritage, Dialogue, Knowledge, and Respect.
Life Beyond Tourism® Portal
A platform in ten languages that contributes to the knowledge of cultural diversities through communication, interpretation, and dialogue. For this reason it constitutes a repertoire of the different territories involved, including for each one the description of the cultural institutions and economic enterprises that are representative expressions thereof. In particular, it aims at promoting the visibility of lesser-known expressions – yet indispensable to understand the cultural personality of a place, dedicating them as much descriptive space as for the most famous ones. The Portal – Community has a powerful database and search engine in which institutions, economic enterprises, traditional skills and individuals can exchange ideas, projects and knowledge on the material and immaterial heritage through a magazine and a photo blog.
